2024 Premier Senior Football Championship

Very easy to take one game in isolation and blow it out of proportion. Standard of club football at senior level has definitely dropped, but Castlehaven, Nemo and the Barrs are all operating at a high level and would put it up to the best in pretty much every other county.

On yesterday, there's not a 7 point difference between the teams. The first half showed that, even considering Castlehaven's start and them struggling with their kick outs. Penalty was the deciding factor, small lapse in concentration and the goal changes the dynamic of the game massively. Castlehaven had to chase and that left holes at the back. Crokes were the better team on the day, but if they face off again next year I wouldn't expect the same score line. Crokes should win Munster out now and they will have every chance competing for an All Ireland.

Munster is well behind the other provinces at senior club IMO so I'd give Crokes little chance.

Ulster had a clean sweep in football last year with 3 x club grades, minor, u20, senior, and 2nd and 3rd level colleges.
I expect senior club to start the ball rolling for them in All-Irelands in 2025.

People slandering cork football and the haven but if they were full compliment and crokes were minus gavin white and another inter county standard player people would be saying the haven should be beating them handy and it means nothing?

Watched the game back no doubt Rory and Damien big losses Hurleys sending off 3 clear goal chances missed two more point attempt s of the upright ...its not your day then when these things happen in games... they started with 5 20 yr olds all very good lads , Jack Cahalane is only 22 has filled out and looks to be getting stronger ....going all the way to January last year hardly no break ...maybe a bit of tiredness there now too ...on there 20 yr olds i like the look of Jack O Neill .....2 countys, 1 Munster title in the 2 seasons ...if they come back fresher after a good long break now they will rattle the 3 in a row and maybe there dream of an All Ireland ..i would not bet against them great club.

Indeed a fair point. Crokes are a very, very good club side and will take a bit of beating in this as they will have a simple passage to the last 4 now.

For Haven to beat them yesterday they’d have had to have their best 15 available and most of them playing very well on the day as well.

Very fair point.

There's a lot of very harsh comments on the Haven after Sunday's result. Taking out Maguire and Cahalane made it a very very difficult task. They have represented Munster an awful lot better than other clubs have in the past.
