2024 Premier Senior Football Championship

Did anyone stand out that could make an impact with Cork next year.
None of the Mallow lads did but I think they're tactics killed any chance they had to show their stuff.
Nemo, not really. Mark Cronin is good, we know that. Martin is solid.
Haven - Jack Cahalane looked very good in fairness. Is he Cork starting material? Maybe with the new rules. Cathal Maguire very good club player not sure if he's got the skillset for IC.
Barrs - Nobody stood out. Hayes would be an addition but time to move on from that.

“The big 2” Nemo are above the big two if that is the case. I think you need to do some research, another simpleton who writes Nemo off and gets punished for it I say. The big 2 would be Nemo1 the haven 2
It's been a big 3 for a while imo.
People disrespected Castlehaven when they werent winning, it would be a mistake to reverse that to the Barrs. Both teams have been competitive with Nemo.

Nemos problem for many years in the last decade is that they tend to have at least one dreadful performance per year which ends their championship.

Brian Hurley was majestic, such wonderful balance and poise. A very stylish player. Brian Hayes - if he was a footballer only, then you could see him being a great addition to Cork with a bit of work on the finer aspects of his game. Is it just his languid style or does he look a bit lazy on the football pitch ?

Jack Cahalane - definitely worth a shot again with Cork. He looked fast and dangerous yesterday. I thought the Barrs could have done with Shieldsy in the last 15 or 20 minutes when they were putting a bit of pressure on.

In summary, Hurley will still be Cork's main man and rightly so. He's better now and more reliable than he was over the years.

Just for Thatfella.
Both S Ryan and B Hennessy played inter county football with Cork F Crowley played minor with Cork and should have been on the u20 team except he was not from west Cork.

blue, let’s take our beating, Castlehaven were the better team on the day. The lads we were missing were a huge loss but so were the Cahalanes for the haven

In fairness to bb I think he's just making the point that the narrative of "The Haven won even though they were short players" is a disingenuous one as the Barrs were also short.

Red you are correct but i was only replying to a comment that was made implying that they beat us without the Cahalanes and a half fit M Hurley. Shur 20% of the haven team are Barrs men. :D :D
