That's a very strange one. Only possible reasoning might be that they are minding the pitch in Flower lodge, but Mallow can't be too happy with it!

Barrs have been playing this year without 2 of the best defenders S Ryan and B Hennessy and early in the Ballincolling lost F Crowley and later his replacement had to go off as well. On paper Castlhavens attack should be to good for our defence but our forwards can put up a decent score. It will be weather permitting a great game as both team are all out attack .

Mallow up in arms over this apparently put in a very strongly worded objection to the county board which is understandable considering this is knockout football. Madness from the county board in the first place, but no surprise there!!
