2024 Junior A Football Championship

Would ruin the divisional setup all together imo. 6 leagues is nearly enough. The 7th division is a lot of junior a clubs who would still get stern tests in their own division.
Your comment was made on the radio yesterday too. I can understand the fear of change and the fear of what will happen divisionally..
But I do think there are a couple of clearly stronger teams in each division that would benefit from better games.
Now who they are probably will be a bit more difficult under the new rules.
I think the County Junior is an unbelievable competition, 70 football and hurling teams with just 1 winner!! It’s incredible.
What I hate seeing is where a small club gets an exceptional group of players that come through and they get caught in traffic trying to get out of junior.

Probably the league winners of all the divisions bar Imokilly, the 2 relegated teams from Division 7 and possibly the 2 county finalists to make it 10 teams.
The county junior champions and the winners of divisional league of the bottom team of league 7 are already promoted to Division 7 next year. So you can add 2 more teams to Div 8

Why wouldn't the Imokilly league winners be included?
I would imagine the majority of the clubs would be happy enough playing games in East Cork rather than trying to get lads to travel an hour for a football match. Sure Carraig na bhfear won the league last year and had the opportunity to play in the county league but didn’t. Most clubs in the division would make the same decision.

Let's see what Carrigtwohill or Fr O Neills do. Be no harm to get a gang from West Cork down to Ballymacoda on a Sunday morning for a football match and flip the travel aspect side of it

That's incorrect, and the same club got shafted by the East Cork Board when it came to promotion to the hurling league Div 7.
