2024 Junior A Football Championship

Was at that game myself, I think if ye can somehow shackle Gore inside, their full back line is very weak and gives up plenty of chances..but ya stopping Gore is no easy job at this level
Shanahan is lively in the other corner,
Two wing forwards carry lot of ball from deep Hourihane and McCarthy.
Jennings big man at midfield.

Keeper did look shaky with a few moments and when he was put under a bit of pressure for the kickout

How come Ballinora and Collig replay was pushed out Patman?
Not fully sure why they couldn’t play it this weekend, may have left it off cause of your draw with Bal, who knows.

The lads are out in U21 on Saturday against Donoughmore, no idea if it’ll benefit the lads involved or if it’s an unnecessary hindrance.

Lots of divisional finals this weekend:

Carbery: Kilmacabea v Diarmuid O Mathunas
Seandun: Nemo Rangers v Douglas
Carraigdhoun: Carraigline v Ballygarvan
Imokilly: Castlemaytr v Carraigtwohill
Muskerry: Aghinagh v Inniscarra

Avondhu:
Semi finals:
Charleville v Mallow
Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels v Killavullen

How do ye see these games going folks
Hard to call. Will see how many of these are right:

Finals:
Kilmacabea
Douglas
Ballygarvan
Castlemartyr
Inniscarra

Avondhu:
Charleville
LC Gaels

Carbery - think kilmacabea here by 4/5 points, hard for DOM to go again in 6 days from the hurling, especially after drawing would have a bit more momentum if they could of got the win. Seandun - Nemo, just based of them beating last year's county runners up and the fact Douglas is Douglas Carraigdhoun - gonna say ballygarvan, beat carrigaline by 6 in the earlier stages, big weekend for carrigaline in 2 football finals but just gonna stick with ballygarvan by 1/2 points Imokilly - don't know much of this one but will go for castlemrtyr Muskerry - big final here, aghinagh for me to win this by 3/4 points. Deciding factor is gonna be how both teams manage the danger men SOD and liam twohig. Both teams probably have stronger forwards so think it could be a good scoring game but just gonna tip aghinagh with experience on their side

Side note, L/C Gales hammered Mitchelstown in u21 football last night.!
Was at it gaels played very good fast football very good team there and got sum lovely scores well worth there win .charleville beat mallow by a point to put themselves into the final they will be no push over

County draw after today's results: 1. Ballygarvan v Charleville/Killavullen/LC Gaels 2. Castlemartyr 3. Kilmacabea v Douglas 4. Castlemagner v Inniscarra/Aghinagh

Inniscarra & Aghinagh drawing on Sunday at Muskerry final.. Very even game and draw fair enough result I thought.. SOD is a class footballer and was easily best player on the field.… Kicked 5 overall.. it’s great to see Dan O’Connell still up front for Inniscarra and playing very well.. scored 2-3 points from play .. he must be almost 40 at this stage and been an unreal servant to them.. Twohig very dangerous for aghinagh and other players showed up well for them too.. aghinagh didn’t panic towards the end and worked a great equaliser.. Very hard to call the replay. .. I’ll stick with Inniscarra as I picked them previously but not with any confidence.. i assume Liam O’Connor for Inniscarra was injured as he didn’t start and only came on with a few minutes left.. if he’s fit for the replay he’s worth a few scores for sure..
