Final group games in Mid-Cork this weekend. A lot to play for with Eire Og V Donoughmore being the pick of the games. Very close to call that one. Donoughmores year is on the line and with Eire Og already practically through so I'll just tip D'more to pip it and get into knockouts. Big scrap between Dripsey, Grenagh & Ballincollig to get out of the group with Aghinagh. Will probably come down to point difference between those 3 and who ships the smallest beating from Aghinagh.

Based on that it would be Aghinagh & Scarra straight into semi's with Eire Og, D'more, Ballingeary and maybe Ballincollig into quarters.

If Dripsey get a win or a draw against grenagh, they will be through They pulled off the upset against ballincollig, nothing to say they cant pull off the upset against grenagh, . against aghinagh they were missing 3 that started against ballincollig , goalkeeper a wingback and wing forward . they all return this week ,

How so ? Am I wrong in thinking it would all come down to points difference if the games went that way ? Just based on what I predicted above Inniscarra & Aghinagh finish on 6 points and would go through to semi finals directly. Eire Og, Donoughmore & Kilmichael would all finish on 4 points in that group, but Kilmichael got trounced by Eire Og and have a terrible points difference even if they beat Clondrohid handily, So Donoughmores points difference would be far better more than likely if they beat Eire Og and they'd advance.

Aghinagh hockeyed both Grenagh & Dripsey by cricket scores. I don't think they'd beat Ballincollig by that much so Ballincolligs points difference won't be as bad as the other two, so they'll go through in that scenario if they all finish on 2 points. Tell me where I'm wrong.

Think donoughmore are a little overhyped this year, yes they beat a terrible clondrohid team but eire ogs second team nearly doubled the score vs clondrohid. Their beating against kilmicheal showed the harsh reality of that. They are a coming team with their underage doing well but think it’s a few years in the coming for them to be really competing.- Eire og and kilmicheal to qualify

Inniscarra face blarney this weekend and can only see one result. Inniscarras hurlers out so will be a big drive on the football and will have Sean o donoughue returning, think they will give blarney a good thumping with blarneys main focus their hurling quarter final. Think Ballingeary will pip ballinora- inniscarra and Ballingeary to qualify.

Aghinagh are the front runners for this grade and have put up big scores. I was surprised by how much they beat grenagh and I don’t think ballincollig will let them do the same. Dripsey and grenagh could swing either way, grenagh haven’t been motoring well throughout the year considering last year they put it up to aghainagh in ballyanly and should have won. Think grenagh will scrape it and get lucky on the score difference to advance- aghinagh and grenagh to qualify
