2024 Junior A Football Championship

Surely it’s the defeated county finalists and not a team that won a divisional spring league when teams are only half strength?
The early poster is correct. Nemo 3rds are promoted and LC Gaels will be promoted if one of the following already in the Co. Leagues win the Co. JAFC:

1. Aghinagh
2. Mayfield
3. Castlemagner
4. St Michaels
5. Argideen Rangers
6. Nemo Rangers
7. LC Gaels themselves

That's a great win for L/C Geals especially with championship only a week away so both teams would have used this as a good test before next week. They seem to be a team that are slowly beginning to see the fruits of a club structure ran the right way, big tests to come in c.ship for them but now one of the favourites along with Killavullen and Charleville.

Sorry lads, how does a junior team qualify for the county league without winning the county?
Finish top of your divisional junior fball league. Bottom 2 teams in div. 7 of county league get relegated to their respective divisional league, and are replaced by winners of same divisional league.

In our case in hurling Balinascarthy got promoted up to Division 6 of the league. We’ve no chance of getting into that league unless we win a county. Seems unfair I think that junior teams can compete in this league and you’ve no chance of joining them there.

East Cork JAFC 2nd Round:

Dungourney 2-11 Youghal 2-11
Lisgoold 0-6 Carrigtwohill 0-11
Carraig na bhfear 1-7 Aghada 3-5
Midleton 2-10 Cloyne 2-7
Erins Own 1-12 Castlemartyr 0-9

Only Midleton guaranteed qualified to the semi final. Every other team besides Bride Rovers who have played all their games has a chance of qualifying in the final round of games.
