Just need Mayfield to win the junior a county. Be some craic if themselves, Vincents, Piarsiaghs and Nicks were in the same group together!

Ilen Rovers v Mitchelstown - Good to see Ilen back winning games this year but expect Mitchelstown to have too much for them. Be interesting to see whether Mark Keane plays.

Dromtariffe v St Vincent’s - Disappointing campaigns by both clubs. Vincents were in a very tough group and I think that will stand to them come Saturday evening. Blake Murphy to fire them to safety.

Kilmurry vs Adrigole final for me

Seen Illen Rovers twice this year and for me they are the team to beat .Have a few players back this year and they play a very good standard of football especially the way they set up defensively and then attack at pace .

Adrigole have been knocking on door last 2 years now and they will be a tough game for best of teams but for me it's Illen Rovers to lose ..

Other semi final will be another close encounter and Ballinora are a bit like Illen in a way dropping down grades but if kilmurry have everyone fit they get my vote in a tight game ..

So ill go Illen v Kilmurry final

Ilen Rovers vs Adrigole
Ilen to win here by the minimum.
2 good strong west cork teams should make for a great encounter. Could be weather dependent as Adrigole will have a couple lads that can kick 2 pointers with ease. I’d like to see Ilen get over the line here tho as it’s great to see them finally turning the wheel and stopping their spiral descent. I think they’ve found their level in and around the lower intermediate / premier intermediate grade.

Balinora in bonus territory it feels and they’ve put down a good year to date but I think the momentum is with Kilmurry here. William Ronans beard is probably worth a score alone according to the echo so I might push the winning margin out to 5. Kilmurry will be back to back county champs I reckon which is a fair testament to their club given the size of the parish.

Well done adrigole Hard luck Ilen rvrs. I am 100 kilometers away . I am remembering when I was a selector a few years ago and we played adrigole in adrigole .I was blown away by there hospitality I am glad for them today .Good luck in the final
