2024 Intermediate A Football Championship

Kilmurry were lacking a scoring forward last year and have 3 now, apparently Joe Ryan is back, there's a transfer from galway and Joe o mullane is old enough to play. Talk of the Warrens back too

Joe Ryan would be a big booste always rate him as a dangerous forward, was a pity Clifford gave up the football he was a class act for Kilmurry nearly bear us on his own in his only year playing junior football. Never heard of any Warren's playing for Kilmurry though who are they would be big name around Mathunas territory over the road we're they playing there ?

Sean and fionn Warren are cloughduv. They were playing when kilmurry won junior a county. Fionn is a back, Sean a forward

Kilmurry the most impressive of what I’ve seen in recent years of these teams, of course championship is a different beast and it took them a few years to even get to Intermediate A so anything can happen, but they’ve a good crop currently, and that factors in their second team and their U21’s.

Kilmurry, Boherbue and Ilen looks like a tough group, though I have Vincent’s in big trouble to go down.

Mitchelstown are hard to predict, some very good players obviously but seem to fall flat in this grade often, Gabriel’s going very well, saw them in the league against Ballinora and while it wasn’t their best game, they’re still a solid side, I’d expect both of them to still have enough for this group. Dromtarriffe and Kildorrery capable of results on their day, so wouldn’t write them off completely.

Adrigole will definitely fancy their chances in the other group, I’d be optimistic of Ballinora joining them, hard to know what Glanworth will be like come championship, caught Ballinora last year but I think Ballinora have improved since then. The Barr’s are the wildcard, only playing Seandun league but who knows what team they’ll have yet, beat Ballinora in their first game out a few years ago but ended up relegated then by the end.

Interesting championship ahead, picking Kilmurry up and Vincent’s down currently.

Can say I remember are they hurlers that gave up like Clifford? A shame Clifford gave up the big ball was a quality footballer.
For a guy who knew everything about kilmurry and mid cork football surprised you never heard of Fionn Warren who was joint captain of kilmurry winning county team also played against ye in 2017 final .

Sean Warren was a better scoring forward than Clifford but has had alot of injuries but himself ryan and Clifford were the FF line in the U21 team that went to an u21A county final against nemo .

They are actually from Castlemore not cloughduv and are in Australia at present .
