2023 Senior A football

You'd have to be sick if from O'Donovan Rossa today.
A great win, not sure they could have done anymore today.
To be put out by a point from another game in the 7th minutes of injury time.

Group A final standings

Knocknagree 4 pts (+5)
Kanturk 4 pts (+4)
O Donovan Rossa 4 pts (+4)
Fermoy 0 pts (-13)

So what happens now if Kanturk and O' Donovan Rossa are level on score difference? Does it go to who scored more or? According to my calculations, Kanturk's accumulated score is 73 points AND O' Donovan Rossa's accumulated points is 73 points also.

If that is the case, it must surely go to head-to-head. So that would mean Kanturk go through by the skin of their teeth and O' Donovan Rossa lose out. Knocknagree go through by +1 in score difference too.

That must be the tightest finish to a group I've seen since the beginning of the new format! ?
Just read there that Kanturk had a score difference of +4 and accumulated score of 59. O' Donovan Rossa's score difference was +4 but their accumulated score was 54 points. So, on that grounds, Kanturk proceed. No play-off needed. I thought from my earlier calculations, that both were on the same "points for", but I must have miscalculated.

Conor Corbett was very quiet today for Clyda Rovers. Aidan Browne did a decent job on him. He didn't score from play, which isn't good enough from him, by his own standards. Paudie Kissane was Clyda's vest player. Jogged straight off the pitch at the final whistle and hopped into the car to get to Coachford, as he is over Éire Óg seniors. Some man. For Newmarket, Hugh O' Connor showed flashes of his potential today. Good player.
