2023 Senior A football

Starts at baxters bridge just outside bandon and heads all the way north to within a mile of kilmurays pitch all the way east to the old post office in templemartin and west to castletown and enniskeane ..huge area and a massive underage set up .very few fall through the cracks there
I haven’t a clue where any of those places are, so I looked up the map of Cork GAA clubs. Newcestown doesn’t seem a particularly big rural club on that. It actually looks smaller thsn nearby rural clubs like Valley Rovers & Drimoleague.

Nice map .i think they are coming nearer to bandon than that map would suggest as are bal who have players from gaggin .Either way, theres a lot more houses in newcestown Parish than say kilmichael to the northwest, which would cover a big physical area too.the school is the key to their success. A few yrs back, they were losing some of their school bus routes, and their was uproar as they would miss out on future players

WCJoe - your talking nonsense and not for the first time.
David Buckley went to Coachford school but also played underage for Cloughduv so that is not a typical situation.
The vast majority of players from Newcestown go to Hammies or Brogans.
Yeah, Buckley is the exception and plays with Newcestown due to his family from my understanding.
