Paudie taught in Bandon alright. He did have a fondness for Newcestown and no doubt a few past pupils would be on the panel. A famous quote of his, prior to smartphones and Google Maps was in relation to the location of Newcestown and how supporters used to find it difficult to locate the pitch. Paraphrasing but Paudie said, "Newcestown, in the middle of nowhere or the centre of the universe depending on who you're talking to".

So true. In all honesty I couldn't see newcestown winning this evening. An awesome club. Club of the year by a country mile. Aghabulogue are not far behind them. Two great country clubs and a joy to watch
