2023 Premier SHC

Watching the kilkenny hurling and dublin football matches on tg4 last night i would say 8 k max jimmy. People are staying at home, and rugby and soccer has taken over
Club games dont get peopes attention only the area's invovled really care really rest of county and Ireland in general dont care.
People might think im wrong but in the long term the spilt season has only handed the other sports a huge advantage.Taking intercounty off tv for over half the year is a joke.County Teams finshing up in June is a joke. The All ireland final should be the last 2 weekends of August not July way 2 early two be finshed up.

Spoken like a true Hurler on the ditch with no stake in the game what so ever. Ask any person on the ground and u will have a 90/10 majority in favor and that’s being generous.

i do now and then Your right club rugby is dying fast.would only be on average 200 people at the games i would attend.
I'd say alot of AIL club rugby games would do well to draw a crowd of over a 100. As for Asscociation Football club games, two men and a dog would be a crowd.

That only club people do you not get it the vast majorty of the country dont care about club games.Soccer and Rubgy is what people care about now and come february again Gaa will get the spotlight again but in the long term young people will leave our games in droves over the spilt season and lack of big game exposure while rugby and soccer are all over our tvs from August to End of January with no Gaa on Tv to get exposure to our young people. This old adage of Club spirit and all this nonese from Years ago is well gone. This is a different Ireland Now and people wont just play Gaa because their parents did you need the big games and stars on national tv to get their attention.
