These two games really show the strength of hurling in the County at the moment...

disappointing but getting two teams to these finals is an achievment, if you say these beatings show that hurling is now weak in Cork what about the other 30 counties whose clubs didnt get this far? Limerick for example have had two All Ireland finalists out of around 40(2 x 20 years). Tipp also very poor record

Not really, both Cork sides were Munster champions and Kilkenny clubs have always dominated at these grades, it’s unfortunate but in the grand scheme of things means very little.

Type of hurling Cork clubs are playing consistently matters though. Stupid short Hurling shite.

This is the Cork style of hurling.
Shitty short passing in defence up as far as the half way line.
Player then takes a 50/50 shot.
Very few goal chances and full forward line get little service.
Is there nearly more shots from inside your own half then the oppositions half?

Lads arent strong enough to break tackles and setup their forwards so shooting from long distance is what they resort to...no wonder Cork club hurling and Cork hurling is way off the top right now.....

But their Senior club champions go much further in Munster than ours because of our total lack of physicality at the top level. Stop putting the blinkers on and open your eyes..Cork physicality and ruthlessness is miles behind most other counties..Catherine's and Castlelyons both blown out of the water on the big day when it matters most...same story with Cork hurling for the past 20 years

Wasn't this really the number 12 team in KK v the number 24 team in Cork? In other words, Newcestown would have been the Cork equivalent of Thomastown? If so, I really wouldn't be reading much into this - other than that it's really quite impressive for two Cork teams in much lower grades than most of their rivals to actually get this far.

Kilkenny have hurling clubs, Cork have dual clubs. The no. comparison doesn't match up.
