2022 Premier Senior Hurling

All groups look wide open.. Every club would give themselves a chance to get out of their group except maybe poor Charleville.

Tbh, I can see it from both sides. The ccb have a duty to protect the club but if a player really wants to go, he won't be much use if he is forced to stay

His residence is glanmire so very strange that county board are stopping it. You’d have to imagine he will win an appeal. Interesting to know if SARS even want him, with his reputation as troublesome. Cathal naughton on his way home from OZ aswell so boost for Newtown

With all due respect to Naughton, he's 35 and never wanted any of the physical stuff when he was in his 20s. Not sure if he'll be much use to Newtown now that the pace starts to slow down.

Was his residence not Glanmire? What authority would CCB have to refuse transfer request if that was the case?
Probably none but I guess if a club makes a request, they have to be at least seen to consider it. He is training with them already in any case as is the lad from Kerry.
