A good enough performance put up by the East Cork boys it sounds like. Good to hear. Strong Aghada spine to the line up but good spread of clubs represented. I've said this previously on here but if only every division gave things a real shake for a couple of years the Senior championship would be a lot better for it.

For Carbery, it seems they were slow to get going but partially understandable. Where were the likes of Brian O'Driscoll, Ryan O'Donovan, Jack Lawton, Don O'Driscoll, Peter Daly, Damien Gore and a few others? They could have a much stronger team out?

He was very good in fairness. Never saw or heard of him before.
Good player, will be tough for him to push on though given the lack of effort put into football in east cork. Would have been on a cork u20 extended panel 2/3 years ago. Played corner forward for imokilly hurlers last year also.

Aghada have some fine players, think one of The Moores is involved coaching them. Next or near impossible with current club schedule for divisions to have preparation, lot of players want to prioritize their own clubs which is totally understandable particularly if they are duel clubs also. There s no real incentive playing a game or two and not going any further, with club championship around the corner.

Be surprised if the College or Duhallow do not come out of section in football and again College and Imokily in hurling.

A divisional championship in off season when county championships are done, could be attractive play it under lights in Pairc ui Chaoimh at end of the year and it could be hotly contested, no clashing with clubs, chance for lads to be put in shop window for county managers too at u20 and senior level, opportunity to see lads in a competitive environment at a good level.
