Do you mean there was more or less extra time cases under the old rule? I wonder are there more or less ties decided by spotters since the change.

What reason did they give for abolishing the away goals rule? Just about every other rule change since Italia ‘90 has been about increasing open play, favouring attackers and scoring more goals. I could never figure why they nixed the away goals rule.
