Looks like Glazers not happy with any of the bids received and may look instead at sale of minority stake or further loans to raise ÂŁÂŁÂŁ for stadium redevelopment.
Abromivich may have been lucky, albeit unintentionally, to have been forced to sell Chelsea when he did.
LFC and MUFC owners may have missed the boat.
Concerns are growing among some parties involved in the Manchester United sale that the Glazers may have “played them for months” - and instead of selling the club they would prefer to either push up the price to create leverage for a loan, or offload a minority stake to a hedge fun

The Media will continue the speculation on this. The glazers want 5bn, 6bn, 7bn etc
They might take in minority investors etc. 9 pm deadline for 2nd bids etc etc
It's just click baiting.
The Glazers have no interest in bringing in investors, upgrading OT, the Playing Squad or the training ground. That makes no financial sense.
They are selling because they are out of money - simple as.
The Raine Group will obviously try to up the ante and probably earn more commission as the price goes up.
Radcliffe is a very clever businessman and is much too smart to get into a bidding war with an Oil/Gas State. That would be commercial suicide. He'll pay what he values the asset at and what Qatar bids has no relevance to him.
Qatar have top level corporate banking advisors and won't bid against themselves.
The Glazers will walk away with 3-4 Bn plus the dividends take out. They can't be assured of an oil/gas state buyer next time if they delay their exit so they are going. Full stop.
Utd supporters would go apeshit if the sale doesn't go ahead. Games will be stopped and the share price will crash. Glazers know that. They are selling. Bet your bottom dollar on that
It looks as if Qatar has decided to buy Utd and if so they will buy Utd. It's far better sports washing than a one off WC event. Sheik Jassim :-
'Does anyone remember where I put the key of the fucking petty cash box ? '
The Psycho in the Kremlin has financed Qatar's purchase 3 times over by now. Everyone know this and knows the outcome - fair play to that Keveh Lad in Sky Sports for trying to make this an interesting story.
IMO it's not if - but when the deal is inked.
