As a matter of interest, what would you think would be a good retirement age for Fire Brigade personnel given the nature of their duties.

Retirement age is 55, states it on the latest recruitment booklet. Don’t think I would count the stuff they would see as a “cushy number”.

Where is this coffee pod? I only know of one being operated by a Cork County Fire Service employee, not city fire brigade.

55 is a bit young to be retiring, personnel working in those services would need to be starting young too to get their full pensions. I think maybe 3 years extra would be optimal, especially since their physical capabilities can literally mean life or death?
