The Official Irish Rugby Thread

When you see the standard of the ‘world champions’ and the all blacks and how it can only improve to a degree, there is a very open World Cup next year and if section remains fit it’s in Irelands hands

No shit Sherlock, at a home World Cup after winning the 6N gone
Well….we still need to see how long France can sustain. You must remember, we peaked in 2018 and shat the bed in 2019. The same thing could very well happen to France. They have a tough 2023 six nations ahead also. Let’s see what injuries they’ll pick after a gruelling 2022/2023 club season also. And with the luck of the way the pool fixtures are scheduled, we should be able to play our cards right to force the quarter final opponents of our choosing (Fra or NZ).

Ireland beat a poor NZ team. The French are favourites.
Not a chance they will win it, considering their selection and resources their world cup mentality is as weak as Ireland, they’ll beat anyone on their day and even with the improvement s they have can’t see them beat Ireland in the final in Paris, sextons last game in an Ireland shirt and a fitting finale to Irelands best outhalf and player
