The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

It is very disheartening to see full houses at Old Trafford as it just undermines any meaningful protest. The club are going nowhere until the owners are forced out. 22/23 is already a write off.

Great post.

Problem is the bolded part. United have a huge following and for every 50,000 that boycott there will be 60,000 queuing up to replace them.

Any United fan with a long term view isn’t going to give up a ST either knowing how long the waiting list is to get one back.

Fans should go on a work to rule. By all means go to the game but sing anti-glazer songs. Embarrass the cunts. Picket the club shop. Buy no official merchandise.
Cancel tv sports subscriptions.

It’s easy to laugh at small actions but MUST need to get its members on board with it. There should be zero dialogue with the club while the glazers are in situ.

Objectively the best thing that could happen is United to continue as they are, routinely getting humiliated by midtable and relegation fodder.

Eventually there wont be bums on seats and the protests will gain more traction.

United will only tread water as long as the Glazer family remain in control.

MUST are a bunch of self serving cunts m8.

The 1958 group are quickly becoming the fans representative group. They are doing much of what you say and more.

I'd be slow to look down on someone not willing to give up a season ticket given it would be nigh on impossible to get it back due to the waiting lists. The supporters in Italy didn't have that problem afaik.

The work to rule idea is good. Could include walk outs to still have the embarrassing empty seats. Boycott merch store and media.

Would being unofficial "away" fans at home games be a step too far? Could even wear their colours in the form of jackets, jumpers etc to get around any rules.

You could imagine that being countered with stupid rules about clothing and staying in your seat but that'd be focking embarrassing

They are a right shower but they can't simply ignore or brush aside complaints from members.

Have things changed re season tickets -noone asking fans to give up their season ticket. Some of these tickets have been in the family for generations but surely allowed to just not attend one match and leave the seats empty. If enough fans did this for high profile game e.g. Liverpool on Monday week or next 4.30pm Sunday Sky game, it would send out a very clear signal.

Good article here in Guardian that comes to same conclusion re Glazers that DT and Hank have been saying for years at this stage.
