Trump screwing around isn’t the legal problem. It’s him paying scads to cover it all up during the election using business/election money. His lawyer at the time was already convicted for it, so there should be no surprise here. Also, he’s on the hook about lying on his financials for a long time. Again, his former business CFO has already been convicted. Trump is a private citizen now who, when he was the prez, used that office to delay everything. Too bad.
