meat grinder, russians are not better in protecting their equipment, they simply do not have much left. We can see that the losses in personnel are up, up, up. So that is a typical russian meat grinder. Sending waves of unequipped, unexperienced orcs with human wave tactic (shot of vodka, bite of pork's fat, shovel in the hand and URRRRAAAAA)

comparing to the first stage, when well equipped forces were seizing land, and then when the forces were fighting in the Northern front and then Kherson. High losses in equipment but not in personnel (they started getting hit in Kherson due to HIMARS work)

I think I know what was the reason for the drone incident:

China, Iran and Russia will hold joint naval exercises. According to the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China, the exercise, called "Maritime Safety Belt-2023," will take place from March 15-19 in the Gulf of Oman.

The one downed was most likely in the vicinity of Sevastopol - a few tens of kilometers max. This must be damn frustrating for the Russians, because the MQ-9 not only sees the ships in port, but sees the details of the operation, the people, the missiles, everything. With details like we see looking out the window. Worse, it hears everything, records phone numbers, network maintenance traffic, procedures, everything. There is no way to hide from it. It's no different at all from when a UAV flies overhead. And it flies nonstop. You can't put off some covert operation or activity because it flies nonstop.
Such long-term reconnaissance allows perfect preparation of an attack or special forces operation and gives great insight into the state of affairs on the Rus side.
Apparently, so much so that Rus reacted in fear of what it would detect.
This is what the reaper is staring at - AN/DAS-4

It could get quite a mess out of this, as the States have to pull it out of the water.

Black Sea does not have actually "international waters". Drones are flying in Turkish and Romanian economical parts.

The USAF has 210 MQ-9s in stock.

PS. orc sources are claiming the incident was below, but I would not trust in it at all. Too close to Crimea, no point for doing it with this equipment and risk getting it into the wrong hands:

I wonder if we ever learn ;)

It says:
Erdogan said that after Friday's meeting with the Finnish president, Turkey will fulfill its promise regarding Finland's candidacy for NATO membership

Polish services have broken up a spy network working for Russia. The group was supposed to carry out preparations for diversionary activities in our country. As RMF FM's reporter found out, officers of the Internal Security Agency detained six people in the case, and a security alert was put in place for the net's activities on rail routes and national critical infrastructure.

As RMF FM journalist Krzysztof Zasada determined, the six people detained by the ABW (the Agency of the Home Security) are foreigners from across our eastern border, who were supposed to be working on behalf of Russian secret services.
ABW agents detained them in connection with the discovery of hidden cameras on important routes and railroad junctions, which recorded traffic on the tracks and transmitted the images to the network.

thats it for now :)

There's a few interesting aspects to Putins war that are difficult for us to understand

(1) Putin's Mindset - Does Putin and his key supporters really believe that Ru is in an existential war with the West ? He took a huge gamble in his decision to invade on 24.2.22 - He badly miscalculated both the Ua and Western Response. But let's be honest, most of us miscalculated these.
Bur he really doubled down by cutting of the gas supply to Europe and again got that badly wrong. He's squandered untold wealth and his country will pay the price for generations

(2) Sanctions
The West never intended to stop Ru selling its oil & gas because taking out such a major supplier would cause massive price increases leading to serious world recession. Hence the lack of condemnation of India's opportunism.
The price cap in December was the critical action that will screw Vlad. One wonders why it took almost a year to implement this ?

It looks the Ru offensive is bogged down and the Ua offensive will be the game changer.

The Trump effect is worrying in light of DeSantis response but let's hope that Joe gets another term and we can finish off the Orcs

Problem is right now Russians will soon cut off last supply route to Bakhmut. Not Zelenskys smartest move as plenty other days ahead when the sun shines.

Looking at the maps it looks like Ukraine are very gradually withdrawing down a funnel and inviting the orcs to follow them.
That sounds good but when the Panzers start blitzkreig on the Ukrainian Steppes once again - it's gonna be great to see the Orcs getting smashed back to where they came from.

Vlas is already looking for a new chef - pretty soon he'll be looking for a new army.

The Leos bating the crap out of 60 year old T62's - try telling your state media mouth pieces to explain that one, Vlad (wouldn't have happened to Peter the Great)
