Spring!

OK Drucker has brought us through why some think that Spring starts in the first week of what is now February, can you explain why it is you think Spring doesn't start until March. And is it always March 1st btw, or is it the first week of March or what? Genuinely interested in hearing both sides of this and am yet to be convinced on the March thing. Thanks in advance.
No he didn't.
As explained in the post you quoted the concept of Spring was superimposed on the pagan festival of Imbolic way later.
Imbolic isn't the same as Spring.
There are multiple posts explaining this to you over the years on this very thread.
However you can't admit you're wrong which is why we go over it again with you every fucking year.

Jebus wept.

Can you explain convincingly why March - and you've not even said if it is the first day or the first week of March - should be considered the start of Spring rather than the first week of February which is midway between Summer and Winter Solstace? Or can you not?

Jesus wept indeed.
As you've been told multiple times already the vernal equinox which is astrological Spring is mid March and metrological Spring is measured by the temperature. Summer is the warmest three months etc etc.

By both measurements it still isn't Spring except for some misguided dopes in Ireland.

Congrats to all the impervious to logic, old, thick cunts on here who unlike the rest of the world think Spring starts in the middle of winter.
All because an ultra nationalist old fart in their school taught them this flawed fact in-between leathering the shit out of them and failing to teach them Irish and a fear of God.
Congrats to the thicko who doesn't realise that there are three different recognised ways of identifying spring, meteorological, astronomical and solar. All have different start dates, one of which just happens to be 1st Feb.

Your "etc etc" isn't very informative the way Drucker at least tried to be.

I've no vested interest in any of this. If someone proves conclusively that March (and now according to you it seems to be "mid March" again a very fluffy term) has a better call on being the start of Spring rather than the first week of February I'll be delighted to be educated.

The "vernal equinox" at which you seem to be pointing now is NOT mid March, but according to google
In the Northern Hemisphere (where most Cork people find themselves) the vernal equinox falls about March 20 or 21, as the Sun crosses the celestial equator going north.

So the suggestion that the First of March, the first week of March, or even mid-March marks the start of our Spring is mistaken.

Do you want to try again?
