Cork city has gone to the dogs.

Spain. Rest assured we had far harsher restrictions for the "common cold" that was killing thousands.
We had one health minister claiming there had been 18 previous covids and another comparing Covid to trampoline usage.
They then let us out of lockdown for the jazz weekend but didn't give guidance to pubs and clubs until the Wednesday AFTER the jazz weekend.
Holohan took pictures and was scathing of young people socialising outdoors but not a peep when politicians broke rules at Golf gate and Merriongate.
Classic Paddy politics.🤷‍♂️

Christ that was a close call in fairness. Good to hear you weathered the storm.

It's truly puzzling that the same government who can't manage routine day to day issues competently somehow dropped the ball on dealing with a global pandemic.

Thank god Ireland had the "common cold" strain and not the "drowning in your own chestfliuds" version that was knocking around over here at the time.

Mental health I'd imagine.......for which lockdown must have been disastrous. FFS it was awful for the rest of us so I can only imagine what it was like for someone struggling.
Mental health services are virtually non existent.
Hospitals are understaffed and over worked. But apparently this attack has nothing to do with the government.🤦‍♂️

Frightening.
Seems to be a death or a violent attack every few days now.
People said we'd pay for these lockdowns financially and socially and, my god, they were right. The anger people have these days is off the charts. Cork used to be so safe. Well done FF/FG.
There would not be this type of incident at the Mercy if the people had more supports.
In fairness IRA/SF and PBP are the only parties who will give more supports to the vulnerable and less well off.
Louise is right
