Russia's unjustifiable war of aggression in Ukraine

I disagree completely

This equipment is urgently required

No reason they can't decide quicker

The Brits have opened the door
The Germans have deep historical evidence of how ramping things up don’t necessarily solve problems.
I’m tickled pink by the Brits and US media sources pressing them. The Brits who think that biggles (not the dirty Russians) won the war, and the yanks - who didn’t turn up till 11 O clock bless their souls, don’t have the high moral ground on these decisions.

True that about the grim history. It’s recent enough to still be raw…even to this day.
And I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid if ze Germans stood up on a soapbox and boasted that their machines would wipe out the Russian army, quickly. They can’t risk humiliating an egotistical maniac with serious mental health issues and I’d bet prob suffering from side effects from a hastily and poorly made sputnik type Covid vaccine.
Ze Germans are world leaders in engineering, the dogs on the street know it. Basically call Putin and Russian military capabilities as a bunch of pussies.
Better to bleed putin and the entire Russian country of money.

Putin's military was completely outdated and inadequate last summer and still is this Winter. A big thing is being made about Soledar, one small town that cost them 20,000 men, there is a lot of towns between Soledar and Kiev. Facts are he was supposed to take Kiev in 3 days, the only City of note he took was Kherson and he lost it. The mass mobilization is just a harp back to WW2 where they throw men into the meat grinder at will, it is just delaying the inevitable.

Their Navy no longer exists, they have lost the strength of their professional army through kills, out of action, MIA.

The response of the West has been disjointed at best, if it was concerted it would have been over before the Winter.

Perhaps the West underestimated Putin's grip on power and his brainwashing of your average Russian citizen.
So how long before Putin loses do you reckon?

If the Ukrainians don’t get the equipment they need it could drag on for years but this is not 1985. Russia cannot live like North Korea indefinitely, eventually the Russians will turn on the state.

Will the Americans want this to drag into 2024, no way.

They took some kicking under Stalin and his successors and didn't lift a finger

True but 2022 was not a particularly bad year given most European countries were building up their reserves knowing an embargo/price cap was on the way. Currently they are running a monthly deficit of $5 billion USD. Their emergency wealth fund lost 40 billon USD in 2022. This fund stands at $150 billion USD but there is a big question how much of this are really liquid assets that can be sold?

The Rouble has lost 12% since the price cap/embargo and if they sell more assets the Rouble will plunge even further.

When the Russians are eating each other for the next meal we will see how comfortable Vlad is.

They can get through 2023 perhaps but 2024 unlikely.
