Is it all still on track to be completed by May(?) of 2023? Hopefully once it IS finished it'll immeasurably improve traffic flow through the tunnel - no more traffic light controlled roundabouts with their stop-start-stop again clogging up what should be (hopefully) a smooth flow.

Latest March 2024 but assume earlier.
In reality it's only a stop gap measure. What the City really needs is a proper North Ring. Back burnered by successive governments though.

The entire city centre this morning was stuck just because a Southern Milling truck had an accident at the Summerhill North / McCurtain St-Brian Boru St junction.

He was probably heading to the South docks (Port moving to Ringaskiddy anyway) but had no easy alternative.

It's absolutely mental at the moment. City is a car park from 4pm - 6.30pm every evening.
Bosses deciding they want people back in the office for no good reason other than to appease their own sense of self-worth is adding to it (and really pissing me off as well ).

Dunkettle upgrade + City centre reconfiguring = Traffic chaos.
Hope it's worth it in the long run.

It’s been like this for a month. Traffic usually backed up to Mahon turnoff.
