Pearse Doherty says they would not give landlords a tax break, he says to do so would serve no purpose,
Meanwhile a couple who are renting and have a combined income of 150k would get one month rebate,
Bonkers,

Bonkers,

Listening to it.

Cuddihy is a lightweight.

Saying that tax breaks would make no difference to the exodus in the rental market basically went unchallenged.

McInerney would have filleted him.

Lots of waffle about free money and 'change'. Doherty is a bluffer.

What about people who are struggling to pay mortgages? Will they get a month’s mortgage payment as well?
And if not, why not? Why is Sinn Féin proposing to give landlords a months rent, for free?

Landlords don’t create anything. Instead of Sinn Féin paying every landlord in the country a months rent on behalf of their tenants, wouldn’t it be better spent on the hospital service?
Why give landlords money? Especially vulture funds?
Haven’t they enough money?

Imagine going into a crowded bar and shouting out “the next round is on me!”
Sure everyone is happy but the.publican is over the moon. SF’s shout of “the next months rent is on us” is the same. Sure the tenants will be happy, but the landlords will be over the moon.
But this isn’t Sinn Féin’s money: this is YOUR money.
Don’t be conned. As someone said, “have compassion for the conned, but contempt for the conmen.”

I am making that point about mortgage holders for weeks now,
Couple A happy to rent 150k income get a month rebate
couple B With 20 years left on a mortgage combined income of 50k get nothing,
Absolutely crazy,

you are fake news

Sad.

Pearse prefers to pretend that landlords arn't leaving the market in record numbers.

Doing nothing and freezing rents for three years will only hasten the rate of departures.

Sinn Fein are as always full of shit.
