James Whales the Invisible Man from 1933 with Claude Rains. The special effects hold up really well for a 90 year old film, hugely entertaining.

Where The Crawdads Sing 2/10

They turned what is a pretty decent book into a hallmark made for TV movie.
this would have worked so much better as a standalone series of 6-8 episodes.

the book really laid out how she's part of the Marsh, the family background, her being cut off from society. The movie makes it look like she's hanging out waiting for the ride.
Everything is too clean as well.

Daisy plays it almost the exact same as her Normal People character too.

Rewatching the Rocky series recently.

1, Superb, dark, gritty and redemption. Burgess Meredith was an absolute legend. The scene in Rocky's apartment matches any scene from any film and Stalline played his part too.

2, dragged a bit in the middle and not as good as the original but decent all the same.

3, probably my favourite. Again Burgess Meredith fills the screen with his charisma. The scene in his bedroom was excellent but the death scene. .....Jesus, if that doesn't get to you, you must have no heart. Again, Stallone who gets undeserved criticism imho lives up to his part.

4, it's basically 3 with a Russian, right? Good training montage and the fight was decent, but not the best.

They really are a brilliant set of films and apart from 4 they've aged well imho.

5 and maybe 6 over the weekend.

Burt young is superb also btw. 82 now.

Low budget sci-fi movie that tries to be 2001: A Space Odessey and Black Hole combined, Earth is dying, 12 billion people live on what's left of inhabitable land, a mysterious sphere is found out beyond Jupiter and a team are sent to investigate.

They find an entity claiming to be 'DEUS' or God, wasn't too bad a movie if you like b-movie sci-fi, a decent cast and budget and it could have been something different, going with 5/10
