2022 Premier Senior football

Douglas did well to get a result today considering the players they are missing. Interesting that their bench was stronger which shows their depth and pick.

It was a poor quality game at times even allowing for the tough draining conditions.

Some free to level it up from about 55m at an angle.

Sadly it looks like we will be denied a clon v douglas playoff grudge match, but we can still hope for a relegation grudge match between them 🤞

Really Clon needed to take care of business today. After their run last year to the final they haven't managed to make it look like they belong at the top.

Due to the draw Nemo don't need the result next time out but Clon will have to show alot more if they are even to have a chance. Even then a win won't help unless Haven fall down against Newcestown.

About 5 or 6 teams in potential relegation trouble in this grade, will make for a very interesting final round of games - could be a lot of defensive stuff on view to keep scoring difference ok, will prob be 2 from the following:-

Carrigaline (0pts), v Eire Og
Eire Og (0pts), v Carrigaline

Clonakilty (1pt), v Nemo
Newcestown (1pt), v Castlehaven
Douglas (1pt), v Mallow
Ballincollig (1pt), v Valleys

Valleys (2pts), v Ballincollig
Castlehavrn (2pts), v Newcestown

Carrigaline look bankers to get relegated.
