The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Drunk on a Tuesday?

Jeez.

You are getting all heartfelt and totes emosh about events from 33 years ago when the rest of us are discussing the serious problems caused at last Saturday's champions league final

Tsk, damn you Maggie
The completely out of context video you’ve found there is what happens when you funnel thousands of people into one entry point, don’t let them in for ages and then get told by UEFA to get the people in so they can start the game. Most are running to avoid a crush and also to get in to the game that they don’t know has been delayed.

If they open all the entry points and just did things in an organised manner like all sporting events then fans would have been in calmly and without panic.

You’re on your own with this one and there’s a reason for it!

I'm really not.

The minute the game was delayed twice it was pretty strikingly obvious what had happened there.

Just as it was in Athens. (Where the Brit press rowed in behind loutish Scouser support too).

So you simply discount UEFA, the French police and all video evidence that doesn't suit your myopic point of view.

Theres going to be an enquiry into this. Ill save you the trouble of reading its findings. The Scousers swamped the turnstiles with no/fake tickets.

You will ignore those findings too.

Turnstile. One. Singular.

Have you done any research on this at all yet? You’re embarrassing yourself. The media are strongly backing the fans of both clubs on this and saying they police and UEFA lied to protect themselves. There’s plenty of video evidence to support this too. Along with lots of first hand evidence.

Must be shit to be so in love with United that you can’t open up your mind to the fact that maybe Liverpool fans aren’t the real fault here.

This has nothing to do with United.

Its the usual trouble from Liverpool supporters and the inevitable claims of victimhood instead of taking any responsibility for their actions.

The Brit press rowed in behind them in 07 and the Liverpool support were found to be at fault in the subsequent report. It will play out much the same here. (Lol, the scanners were at fault, not dud tickets).

You simply discount any video or official account that doesnt fit your very selective interpretation of events.

Its no coincidence that this only ever seems to be an issue when Liverpool are in town. I look forward to your excuses when the official investigation finds Liverpool support to blame.

(As a side note well done to Jeepers, the only Cork Scouser with the decency to say it was horrific for LFC to host a victory parade to coincide with the anniversary of Heysel)
