The city centre used to be dead 6.00pm until 9.00pm and now it is thriving with cafes, outdoor seating for bars and restaurants, ice cream shops, crepes, pedicures, hair extensions. Oliver Plunkett St and Pual St and environs are busy now all the time. Lots of our welcome foreign blow-ins and their families head out early etc.The demand isn't there at all.
There are 260 cafés in Cork City centre, far too many.
