I’d be completely against schools holding a minute’s silence tomorrow. I’ve read Teacher’s Unions have asked for a minute’s silence at 11am tomorrow morning. Not a good idea.

Because I don’t want anyone discussing a young girl’s murder with my daughter. It’s not their place and we have shielded her from it in recent days.

No, I think that's fair. I haven't discussed it with my two cos I think they are too young. I wouldn't have brought them to a vigil either for the same reason.

Depends on how the school explain it I guess. If it was "we are having a moment of silence to remember this lovely girl who died" then I wouldn't personally have an issue with it. I haven't heard anything from our school about it either way though.
