Unreal that he's burst onto the scene at this hour of his age.Boland great bowling 11overs 13 runs 2 wkts
all they had to do was stand up and not get out, they had two days to get 271 runs, the openers gave them a good platform for a change and then they the whole team gets bowled out in two hours.Holy crap. Even by English batting collapse standards that's an epic collapse
100, T20, one day games all contributory factors to this. The complete neglect of the county scene which, let's face it, can't maintain the interest of the short form games. Players generally don't get in the habit of getting in and building an innings so they aren't equipped for test cricket. 5 day draws are a rarity and are mostly punctuated by rain delays.all they had to do was stand up and not get out, they had two days to get 271 runs, the openers gave them a good platform for a change and then they the whole team gets bowled out in two hours.
Is it that all the oneday/2020 cricket has made the batsmen more attack minded and more vulnerable? earlier in the series when the ashes were still in play Warner, Smith & Labuschagne played proper test innings-being really patient leaving or blocking most balls. Last two matches they went the same way. After the 3rd test they(SS & ML) were both in the top 10 in all time test batting averages. Now have dropped down a bit. https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/282910.html
