FUEL PRICE PROTESTS

Was channel hopping on the radio during the ads and heard some interviewer on Newstalk giving out to a spokesman (who happened to be an Independent TD from Limerick) for these break-away truck drivers because nobody could contact their spokesmen. Eh.....HELLO!!!!!
The interviewer was trying hard to deflect from the fact that Sleepy Ryan the Minister involved, had given an undertaking to contact the Minister for Finance. Ryan "went to Europe" and when Paschal had been contacted 4 days later about the issues as passed on by Ryan, Paschal said Ryan had not been in touch with him at all about it.

This shower don't even have an official spokesperson, irha have distanced themselves from them, galling to hear one of them on rte radio saying if it means empty shelves in shops so be it, Gardai had to negotiate with them to allow a certain flow of traffic , ffs

Could be worse. They could react like the French. We should count ourselves lucky. At least the truckers did something, not like the rest of us sheep.

The hauliers have pissed off the Dublin retail lobby now and have been thrown under the bus/truck on RTE.

Retail Excellence are all for protesting until it affects them it seems.
