They didn't order new uniforms because it would have alerted people that something was afoot. I was home on Christmas leave wondering werewe going back to more fire service strike cover. Got a phone call off the boss "just checking in". Returned after leave straight down to the Brecon Becons for a few weeks live firing, more training then bang. Out to Kuwait. Had a Paddys Day parade. Next day moved into position for border crossing.

Our uniforms were dated and in most cases, incorrectly fitted to individuals. We looked like tramps.

1. Tony Blair doesn't give a single fuck what Chilcot or anyone thinks. Not a single fuck.
2. Anyone thinking he is going to be prosecuted is off their game and needs to take off the Mick Wallace Corbynista shades.
3. The Americans sinned more, suffered more and have long since moved on because at this stage it's the only rational and sensible thing to do.
4. Labour won't beat the Tories again until they move on from self-flagellation over this. Thatcher was infinitely more evil than Blair and the Tories celebrate her ffs.
