Highly unlikely. It depends on what sources you read, some say we will hit Peak Oil next year and others by 2030. By 2070 there will be very little oil left.

not really. 100 years is plenty of time to perfect the next power source. cold fusion, more efficient renewables etc.

do a bit of research yourself pete. today's proven oil reserves are estimated to last about 50 more years. that's just proven oil reserves. there is likely a vast amount of undiscovered oil around in places like alaska and africa and who know where else. we are making new discoveries all the time. the world's proven oil reserves have been increasing every year;

there's an oil shale deposit in russia, Bazhenov, that is estimated to hold about 1.2 trillion barrels of oil. that alone is about what the entire world has produced to date. ever. and that's just one of the untapped resources.

people have been talking about peak oil for decades. keeps the oil companies in profits. oil is going nowhere anytime soon.
