Brazil protests

More than half a million people marching on the streets of #RiodeJaneiro tonight!
#Brazil is experiencing its largest protests in more than 20 years, despite the fact that authorities reversed the public-transport fare increases that sparked the unrest. People are protesting again tonight all over the country against corruption and poverty, challenging the priority given to stadium construction over health, education and jobs.

Large crowds defy heavy rain this evening in Joinville, Brazil to protest.

Clashes have broken out between protesters and police in Salvador, Brazil, with police launching tear gas canisters at the multitude assembled in the streets. Up to a million are expected to march in Rio de Janeiro tonight, as the unrest spreads to 90 cities throughout the country on what will undoubtedly become the biggest night of the uprising so far.

Photo appeared this week in "Folha do Sao Paulo". The protester has in his hands the journal of "Causa Operaria" (revolutionary party) from Brazil (www.pco.org.br), who says:

"Sao Pablo is under a state of siege. DICTATORSHIP"

While asking people if they are for or against the protests as they were happening in Brazil, the presenter from Band news doesn't get the answers he was expecting.
