Lay of the Land are a visual arts organisation creating and curating site-responsive art projects. They produce powerful, imaginative and considered projects that encourage artists and their practice to engage with the landscape.
This May, Lay of the Land presents Tombolo 19, a site-responsive outdoor art residency that will culminate in an expansive public exhibition.
In it's third year running, the Tombolo exhibition trail encourages an open and relaxed discussion between the artists and the audience. With a number of activities programmed into the exhibition weekend, including a series of creative workshops, it is a wonderful way to spend a weekend in nature while experiencing art, immersed in the beautiful surroundings of Brow Head.
Tombolo is funded by the Arts Council and by the generous donations from our audience and supporters of the arts throughout Ireland.
