TRANS-PACIFIC SF/MELBZ COUNTRY STYLIN’ TROUBADOURS.
The Tough Brothers started in Melbourne as a two piece combo (Senior Tuff – Vocals/Guitar, Junior Tuff – Keys). After grinding their way through the local Melbz scene, the band relocated across the Pacific to San Francisco. Here, the blokes added all American studs, Eli (drums) and Kitt (bass), as well as Japanese Mission guitar maverick, Taka.
The band have been gigging regularly around the SF scene for the past few years, playing at all the fave local venues such as Riptide, Amnesia, Boom Boom Room, Knockout, Lost Church, as well as some local festivals. The blokes hit the road a few times a year to play LA and other CA hot spots. Look out for a new EP and a West Coast (and possibly Australia!) tour in 2020.
The sound can be compared to Steve Earle, Hayes Carll and Tom Petty. An Americana vibe with some added Aussie and Japanese ingredients. Come check out the guys at an upcoming show for a drink and a dance!
