Incorporating the imprint of Krautrock, post-punk, and psychedelia, Belfast's Junk Drawer's intuitively loose and idiosyncratic brand of indie rock mines anthems from their crate-digging tendencies. Featuring four multi-instrumentalists & vocalists fluid in their roles, they're driven by the inevitable harmony and discordance that comes from the sibling creative rivalry at the helm.
Their debut LP 'Ready For The House' is due for release in Spring 2020 through Art For Blind Records, with lead single 'Year of the Sofa' (described as a 'slo-mo guitar pop jewel' by CLASH) winning Best Single at the NI Music Prize 2019, making Junk Drawer the first DIY band to take home a prize at the annual ceremony. Across eight tracks, the band filter their typically broad range of influences to deliver a brutally honest, yet sardonic exploration of some stonecold classics: anxiety, depression, social conscience, chronic illness and identity.

Bolstered by support from the PRS Foundation and Arts Council, Robocobra Quartet cross genre lines, drawing influence from post-punk and
jazz improvisation. The group improvise not only musically but also in their conduct - producing their own recordings and refraining from a fixed line-up.
An album of extremes, Plays Hard to Get (2018) is the follow-up to the Northern Ireland Music Prize-nominated Music for All Occasions (2016). A musical tug-of-war, this irascible collection of songs frequently turns on a dime - insisting on your full attention.

The final date of their short Irish tour sees Olivia Furey and Icebear perform a special collaborative set in support of Junk Drawer and Robocobra Quartet. Merging together the pair's combined interests of experimental noise, drone, performance art and improvisation, Olivia and Icebear hope to build a vast and immersive wall of sound.
Olivia Furey is a performance and sound artist working in both Ireland and Scotland. Olivia’s performances are composed of exploring sound as a visceral, sculptural element through assertive noise-making, by playing self-made instruments, electric guitar, audio sampling, sonic manipulation experiments, and voice. The vocal aspect of the performances consists of spoken word songs and taking on a confrontational persona, which shifts from being in control to out of control. Olivia’s performances generally hover between a conventional song and a disruptive, performative act.
