Named after "Stiff Little Fingers" by the Vibrators, released in 1977 as the b-side to their "London Girls" single SLF formed after seeing The Clash play an inspiring gig in Belfast. After released several well received singles the band split in 1983 but that didn’t stop them gaining fans and reforming five years later saw them playing to crowds far bigger than they had ever played to, a new generation of SLF fan was born.

The new album, “Guitar and Drum”, was released on August 11, '03 on EMI UK. Several new songs have been previewed at SLF live shows this year, including "Strummerville" (a tribute to Joe Strummer) "Still Burning", "High & Low" and "Guitar & Drum".
