Fermoy camera Club was set up in October 2010 and is the brainchild of Fermoy man Jim Bartley. The club has attracted members from all over the Fermoy area and beyond. Starting with less than 40 members the club’s popularity has seen it grow to a membership of over 70 enthusiastic amateur and professional photographers in less than 6 months. We are now affiliated to Irish Photographic Federation which is the umbrella body for amateur photography in Ireland.
Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive forum for member’s interests in photography, whether they are beginners or experienced. To enjoy our club, all you need is an appreciation of photography and a positive enthusiastic approach to participation at meetings and events.
We meet twice a month and have a competition each month based on a specific theme. We also have a photographer of the year leader-board and many other events and outings.
