Andy Dunne comes from Cork City. His styles of writing and performing are as diverse as his influences and include, Shane McGowan, Luke Kelly and Sting. In the late 80's Andy played support to artists such as Mary Black, Freddie White, Jimmy McCarthy and International stars of the time, Big Country, Midge Ure of Ultravox and Country Music legend, Guy Clarke (Desperado Waiting for a Train).
In the early 90's, Andy toured as singer and rhythm guitarist with Irish Traditional Music legend, Davey Arthur. From there he went on to work as a solo artist around Germany and the USA, building a huge following on the "Irish Folk" circuit. In April '02 he released the single "Take This Man" and raised over €1000 for the Irish Kidney Association Cork Branch. That December he played support to Shane McGowan in the Savoy Theatre.
Clare O'Mahony's first public performance came at age 20 in Dublin's Ha Penny Bridge Inn where she won the Battle of the Axe!! In Cork, Fred Zepplins' open mic night became a
favourite spot from which Clare would perform. After winning free studio time and recording an 8 track CD, Clare began playing supports to other local artists such as Annette Buckley and Niall Connolly. Clare released a limited edition EP entitled Soulfire in July 2002.
Since then, Clare has been accompanied by Oonagh Dwyer on flute and occasionally, Owen Dwyer on djembe. Clare has gone on to headline the Lobby twice, has supported Meteor award winner John Spillane as well as Belfast singer-songwriter Susan Enan.
