Mayfield library is hosting an art exhibition of the highest quality through the month of May.
The most recent works of artists Jennifer McAleer , Pat Madden , Phil Copley and Mary Murphy Jennings will be on show. With a total of almost 80 years of painting between then a wealth of artistic talent and experience is plain to see on every canvas .Tutored by the late Michael Downes and the well- respected John Jermyn , the exhibitors are presenting upwards of 40 artworks in this exhibition . Acrylics, oils and watercolours will feature with landscapes, streetscapes , seascapes and character studies comprising most of the scenes portrayed.
The work of these artists has not gone unnoticed by their peers with Pat Madden winning ' Best in Show ' and ' Best Acrylic Painting ' for his entries in the 2018 Maclise Art Exhibition .
All four artists are part of a group which meets every Monday , except during the Summer months , in the Sacred Heart Centre , Western Road .
