Default Mike Wiley Makes History

11 Bookings in the Roma V Lyon Match last night. The referee is a legend! I wonder did he book any of them three times though! Most bookings ever in a UEFA match.

Roma Players Booked:

Mexes 3
Panucci 7
Pizarro 18
Mancini 43
Taddei 57
Totti 82
Tonetto 89
De Rossi 90

Olympique Lyon Players:

Juninho 12
Govou 45
Toulalan 50

A nil nil draw and eleven bookings? Is there a punishment for having 8 players booked in the one game? I know the situation in the premiership, but what about UEFA?

Hands up, sorry, freudian slip.

(Thanks for pointing that out)

But what about the number of bookings though? In all fairness we had Poll in the WC last year and now this?

Was this the same fella who referred to Vidic as 'Nimic'?

At least he's consistant.

His average is 4 yellow per game in the premiership.

In 16 games this season he has dished out 6 reds (the most for any referee) and 58 yellow.

Yes, hands up on that one too, I was thinking "Nemanja Vidic," and typed "Nimic." The day the wizzard signed him, if I recall correctly. I remember thinking, "build from the back, and the front will take care of itself." Looking at Nimic and Evra now, they were definitely two of the buys of the season last year.

He'll always be Nimic to me.

NB, he should be a future captain, he handled himself magnificently when the Lille players threatened to walk off the other night, he was the only one who was anxious to get on with the game, he showed Gary Neville up.

And so it comes full circle.

Standards are slipping. etc

One question Nimic, how is it a freudian slip?
