De la Hoya Vs Mayweather 2
Contracts have been signed and the fight will go ahead next May!!! I can't bloody weight...one of the biggest fights boxing has seen in a long long time!
i reckon mayweather should take it pretty easy. he has been pretty impressive in his last few fights. although de la hoya will be pretty fired up for this one. will floyd mayweather snr be in de la hoyas corner
ive been watching the 24/7 documentary which is on sky sports at the moment and its a good show, mayweather comes across as an absolute insecure prick, i hope de la hoya beats and beats him good

100% Agreed and his uncle is a total tosspot who should never have been given his license back by the Nevada Boxing Commision after what he did during the Juda fight.

My gut tells me that this could be a close fight with an upset on the cards. My head predicts a wide points decision for Floyd with he having to survive a few rocky moments.De La Hoya has lost every superfight he's been in(some disputed I know) and now that he's older and slower I can't see him reversing that trend.

mayweather hasn't impressed in has last couple of fights to be fair and Oscar has a big strength advantage although he hasn't fought much in the last 2 years, if this fight turns into a toe-toe war then Oscar will win IMO but as usual pretty boy floyd will just probably just dance around the ring moving in and out
De La Hoya is one of my favorite fighters in the history of boxing, I would love to see him pull this one off. On the other hand De La Hoya fell kinda soft in the last fight v. Mayweather, maybe setting this up as his last fight, going out strong? And isnt Oscar promoting fights now?
