Default United crash out of the league cup!

I'm sure the drunken Scot will be raging. The side he put out was full of International experience and should've had more than enough to get past a side launguishing at the bottom on the Championship.

29 Kuszczak
22 O'Shea
06 Brown
27 Silvestre
04 Heinze
07 Ronaldo
25 Jones
24 Fletcher
23 Richardson
14 Smith
08 Rooney

I was drafting this thread as that one was being posted. As it stands I think my tabloid headline & inclusion of United starting line-up marks this out as a superior thread.

Ah ya, true enough. It's been a tough old season so far so you'll forgive me for taking a bit of satisfaction in tonight's results. I'd agree that in the grand scheme of things it's decidedly 4th best but it's still worth winning & is a useful competition to give a run-out to some of those on the fringes on the first team.

True enough
As i always maintain if you get to the semi's its worth taking a bit more seriously from then on-Southend are a game away from the semi's now

Players like Richardson and the likes though might regret it in the long run
They should still have won
United need to strengthen their squad

Anyone know that aside from his time at Gillingham, Glenn Roeder's managerial career reads:

Watford

1st season - 7th
2nd season - relegated

West Ham

1st season - 7th
2nd season - relegated

Newcastle

1st season - 7th
2nd season - .................... .............

As we've discovered in the other thread i'm not a mathematical genius but there's some sort of sequence going on there

Newcastle

1st season - 7th
2nd season - Fired in time for Newcastle to get in another false messiah who takes them to the brink of inter-toto cup qualification and then fuck it all up at the start of next season. What a great club .

Well i'm in no position to talk after tonight but possible Managerial messiahs could be

1-Terry Venables
2-Bryan Robson
3-pick any other usual suspect of your choice

Possible new players

1-Beckham
2-Anelka
3-anyone except a defender
