Just to let all music fans in the republic know that The Mitchelstown Music Festival will be returning in 2006. It will run over the August Bank Holiday weekend from Aug 4th - 7th and all the gigs will be free. The festival ran into some tough times in recent years mainly due to poor line-up choices but that could not have been helped at the time. A new team has taken over for this year and the line-up is already being negotiated. It will consist of quality acts covering rock/pop and alternative music and probably a few surprises thrown in for good measure. The website,
