How do you get back to the desktop of a labtop and still leave this site open

If you are running XP there should be this little icon on the bottom of the GUI next to the start button that has a symbol of a pen and paper!
I have a shortcut to that, forget it though

Nothing next to the Start button except the Proc logo. Emmm...what does GUI mean ?

Actually that doesn't work . I opened another site from the desktop and when i closed it ......you know what happened....this site was closed aswell.

Ok the best thing to do is to right click on the tool bar at the bottom of the screen.
Go to 'toolbars'
Go to Quick launch
You should now see the pen and paper symbol
